The TP-Link TL-FC111A-20 is a 100M media converter that includes a 100M RJ-45 connection as well as a 100M SC fiber connector for converting electrical and optical communications. Furthermore, long-distance data transfer using optical fiber may be used in commercial applications such as park security monitoring and wireless networking. The TP-Link TL-FC111A-20 uses WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology to deliver and receive data across a distance of up to 20km (12.4 miles) using only one fiber, saving clients half the cost of cable deployment. On optical fiber, the TL-FC111A-20 transmits data at 1550nm and receives data at 1310nm. The TL-FC111A-20 operates as a pair on the opposite end, receiving data at 1550nm and transmitting data at 1310nm.
